National Honor Society

Here is the latest NHS news. It is time to apply for membership to this club. The requirements are fourfold:

• Scholarship (is your overall GPA at least 3.0? 3.25? 3.5 or more??)
• Service (have you worked for others' good and found that reward?)
• Leadership (have you risen above the crowd - ready to change your world?)
• Character (do you live with a sense of honor and integrity?)

Sophomores and Juniors may apply. Submit an Organizations Checkoff form (download below) and a Letter of Interest (sell yourself and tell us why you should be chosen) to Mr Hallman by March 27th if you'd like to be considered for this prestigious group. Once submitted, your application and letter will be considered by a panel of school staff members, and your merits will be scored. You will need to score above a certain level to be accepted. You will learn of your score and the results after the deadline. You must apply each year you want to be involved, it does not automatically make you a member for life.

NHS is intended to be a student-led organization, so it will be what its members make it. Our club has been more of a recognition group, but with the right leadership, who knows where it could go?!
