Most of you just returned from a trip to the western part of the state. This included stops in Glenwood Springs, Hotchkiss, Paonia, and Georgetown. Please share 1) what you liked most about the trip, 2) what you learned on the trip, and 3) what businesses you visited might work in Eads, CO.
In Business I: Introduction to Business, when we got to Chapter 5 "Entrepreneurship & Small Businesses", Levi Hallman was asked to do research on a famous entrepreneur of his choice and provide ten tips to becoming a successful entrepreneur. He was then instructed to put his research into a PowerPoint presentation and present it to me. Levi chose to do research on Henry Ford and the slides of his PowerPoint presentation are below.
Many of you just got back from your first FBLA National Fall Leadership Conference. Please share the following: 1) What did you like most about the conference, 2) What is at least one thing you learned at the conference, and 3) How could you apply what you learned?
"The Eagles Store" is now open for business! This store lists some of the amazing photographs taken by our UPS man, Jon DeLorenzo. He has graciously given rights to these photos to the Business students with the request that a donation be made to the Hunt of a Lifetime Foundation, and of course, we'll be glad to honor this request. All business students had a hand in getting this business up and running, with the Entrepreneurship class making most of the preliminary business decisions.
This store will also list items that people in our community would like us to try to sell for them, but don't want to deal with the hassle of selling on ebay. A part of the proceeds will go to the FBLA chapter, but most will go to the owner of the item.

Below are brochures that the Marketing students designed for the Kiowa County Economic Development Foundation. Janet Frederick, from KCEDF, enlisted the talent and creativity of these Marketing students to create the brochures, which will be used to attract bird watchers to Kiowa County. These brochures are just one example of projects that business students will be completing for area organizations for the benefit of our local economy.
